October - Welcome to fall and the new monthly blog format of 2nd Tuesday.
In a landscape shadowed by a virus and news cycles of chaos, I've felt a growing sense of hesitation about a path forward for 2nd Tuesday. Hesitant, knowing the informational challenges everyone is facing, I haven't sent out an email notification of updates since earlier this year. I have, however, continued to write, shifting the style of 2nd Tuesday away from lengthy articles to short monthly blogs about my own everyday experiences in the midst of our rapidly changing world.
Last week, however, two encounters converged in such a manner that I am encouraged to send out a notice that I've been here all along kind of silently sheltered in place exploring words and images that may resonate with some of your feelings. Writing, making art, and the creative distractions of household projects have a way of calming my soul.
One of the experiences - a few days after the cloud cast by having been shouted and sworn at by a man not wearing a mask in a store - lightened my spirit, filled me with optimism, prompted me to write When Angels Stop By, and encouraged me to let you know that 2nd Tuesday is still here.
Welcome back! I would be honored by any of your time thumbing through the last nine months of anecdotes from our lives and projects here on the hill. If you're new and don't know me click here.
And, if you have a moment please let me know what you think about the new blogging format of 2nd Tuesday. I'd really appreciate your feedback.
All the best!
